Addendum - Example

Just to add to the last post - an example of an activity on the 'Drug Use in Context' module is given where students work in groups to design a marketing strategy for a new drug and this is then selected by other students in a 'big brother' type vote. I'm not sure what is elearning about that, although certainly I think that groupwork can be facilitated online, especially if contributions are asynchronous and students are distributed. I do think that the format of the activity is innovative in itself though - applying TV show formats to learning could potentially make it more engaging.
